FUNCTIONAL
REHABILITATION
What Is 'Functional Rehabilitation'?
What Are The Benefits of Integrative Care?
We offer an integrative, collaborative and preventative wellness care model for optimal health.
A blend of Chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques and modalities, holistic treatments with our team of practitioners, plus prescribed home care stretches, supplements or lifestyle recommendations, our approach to rehabilitation supports each patient individually in the achievement (and maintenance) of his or her best function.
Our shared goal is the attainment of improved quality of life for each patient. Although treatment plan goals are very individual, the general objective of our work together is the:
-
Attainment of improved physical stability, strength and restored mobility
-
Reduced or eliminated pain and degeneration
-
Improved internal health and overall lifestyle
Although some folks may seek our care in an acute or urgent state of pain, dysfunction or in recovery from a chronic injury, most of our patients come to understand the benefits of ongoing occasional care for what we refer to as 'wellness maintenance'. Regular care combined with a health-oriented lifestyle ensures optimal function and can prevent future injuries.
We believe, the achievement of peak health performance is a bit like climbing a mountain. Should you be near the top and have a stumble, it's easier to get back up if you aren't starting all the way at the bottom again. Let's work together to help you reach the top and stay there!

Your First Visit
Prior to your first visit, please take a few moments to complete the appropriate New Patient Intake paperwork found within your confirmation email or arrive 10-minutes early to complete a paper version, as this will provide our team with the required information to evaluate your health needs to ensure the utmost care.
During your first visit, you will share information about your health, such as any injury or surgery, medications, family health history and your reasons for seeking care at this time. A physical assessment/exam and discussion will take place; treatment is likely to occur during your first visit. Your required treatment plan will be outlined for your optimal results. Gown or shorts are provided if needed. Some patients may require x-rays in order to provide greater insight into their condition, at that point in time we will provide you with the required referral information.
After your treatment, some homecare recommendations may have been suggested to you including gentle stretches or exercises, water/diet/lifestyle modifications, ice/heat application and various follow-up treatment. Expect to see our team a regularly at first while things stabilize and then occasionally or seasonally after that, depending on your work, sleep or driving posture, diet and activities for best function. As they have accumulated over time, chronic conditions may require additional time to correct. Your compliance with our team's recommendations will ensure optimal results!

Integrative healthcare refers to comprehensive or seamless continuity of care. In our clinic, our team often works together to ensure that each patient's treatment and rehabilitation is delivered efficiently for accelerated healing and utmost patient satisfaction.
Differing from many healthcare environments, a dedication to collaboration and communication in our clinic translates to:
-
Our patients having more access to the vast expertise of all of our team members rather than being limited to one provider - which means more skills and techniques!
-
Thorough patient records and efficient 'in-house' communication reducing conflicts between practitioner treatment plans and wait-time for results
-
A focus on treating the whole person or family, working together (and with other health providers) to address the root causes rather than disjointed symptoms
-
Progress is better tracked and treatment is re-evaluated more regularly for individualized care
-
A commitment that no patient slips through the cracks in our clinic, when the patient is equally committed to his or her health
